This past Sunday I had the opportunity to play a wedding reception at the Sanctuary in Zionsville, an art gallery/restaurant located in the heart of the village.  s many know, I love to play outdoor venues but I will have to say that this was possibly the molst beautiful indoor venue I have ever played.  It was a neat experience to kind of kick back and play jazz and light rock at the beginning of the reception amid the dozens of artworks displayed.  The Sanctuary is a great venue for all types of gatherings for those looking to host a reception, retirement, reunion, etc.  It features the artwork of Nancy Noel and the staff is very efficient and friendly.  Tiy can find the website at http://www.nanoel.com/ .

We have officially become a duo...EVAN AND DAVE has become a fixture on the far west side and will be invading the general vicinity very soon. Our new website is being finalized by our friend and professional web creator Dan Ratliffe. It is scheduled to be up and running by July. HIT THE GROUND RUNNING  this past weekend with four gigs, including my inaugural with Big Daddy Caddy on Saturday evening at the Doghouse in Brownsburg.

The fall schedule is really shaping up to be a marathon as each weekend is booked or in the process of booking until November.  Included will be visits to Brown County Inn in August, October (peak season!), November and NEW YEARS EVE!!!

ST LUKES SINGLES will be hosting their annual end-of-summer Block Party at the St Lukes United Methodist Church parking lot on  Wednesday August 26.  I have been associated with the group for nearly ten years and am looking forward to this event.  It will run from 6:30-8:30 and they will be serving picnic style food. 

UNDER CONSTRUCTION is the Forum and Chat page.  Currently I am plannign times to keep the chat room open.  The forum can be used for whatever is on your mind..Hopefully I will be able to pick up some song ideas, suggestions and you will be able to share with othe BDC and DOK friends, fans and familiies.

I attend a Dad's Grief Support group on Tuesday Mornings at the Hilton In Castleton. The group was formed by three or four men who shared the common tragedy of losing a child four years ago. I began attending in the summer of 2005 after the death of my 15 year old son, Adam.

A year ago, one of the original Dad's asked us to each contribute our story about our child and the impact of the group. I received an email last week that a book of the collective stories were being considered by a major publisher and will possibly be published some time in the coming year.  I am including my own chapter as a page on this website.

NEW WEBSITE!!!!!!

As promised, I have finally gotten around to getting the new site together and this is gonna be fun.  Several people have requested that original material and video be made available so that will be the next step in this process.  A blog and photo album of all my friends and fellow musicians who bother to send or direct me to their pictures is forthcoming also.

DAVE IN......BIG DADDY CADDY!!!

I have been invited to join Russ, Bryan Jim and Ethan as the keyboard player for BIG DADDY CADDY.

I am very blessed to have this opportunity. This is a group of very talented musicians and quality people and I am honored. The band was formed nine years ago by Russ Bucy and has long been recognized as one of the top bands in Central Indiana.

Russ and I met this week to sync our schedules and song lists. My first official gig with them will be at the Doghouse in Brownsburg on August 1.
